Hello!
I'm Megan Marks, the Owner of Beauty Marks . I was born and raised in New Orleans, La.
Ever since I was a little girl my mom has been my idol. She is so beautiful and I wanted to be just like her. She worked in the beauty industry and was always up to date on hair and makeup trends. Whenever she got dressed I would love to watch her and mimic every move she made. Eventually, I grew to love anything and everything to do with beauty. High school is really where my love for makeup began. Friends started noticing my makeup and before you know it I was doing everyones makeup for dances and events. One of my business class assignments was to create a business. This is where I came up with the name Beauty Marks! After High school I received my Esthetician License and made Beauty Marks come to life!
I am a self-taught makeup artist and have been working in the beauty industry since 2012. Over the years I have accomplished so much, including: applying makeup for 150+ Weddings, Saks Fifth and Maiya boutique Fashion shows, NOLA Fashion Week, New Orleans Magazine, The 2013 New Orleans HoneyBees , and The 2014 New Orleans VooDoo Dolls. attending the 2016 NYC Master Class with Celebrity Makeup Artist Mario Dedivanoic, becoming a 2017 graduate from Beso Beauty School for microblading, attending the 2018 Rob Sargsyan (Rob Glow) makeup class in NYC, being voted as Best Makeup Artist in New Orleans by Expertise 2017 & 2018, took an adavnce microblading & shading class with Beso Beauty School in 2019, & my latest accomplishment was training with Melba Beauty to learn her signature Pow Pow Brow technique!
I'm so passionate about making women look and feel more beautiful! I believe makeup should be used to bring out women's natural beauty. Less is more! I specialize in Wedding makeup & Microblading, but I also love educating women on the proper way to use and apply their makeup. I have the professional education and experience to help you with any of your beauty needs!
